Comfortable Care for Smaller Smiles

If appropriately managed, we can treat most children without sedation at our two kids' dental offices in Chattanooga. Your child's comfort is our top priority, so we customize their treatment to your child's unique needs.

Types of Pediatric Sedation

Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is very safe and helps many patients relax for dental care. We use it in the office, and the effects are gone when the appointment ends.

Oral sedation is a safe alternative to ease your child's anxiety about dental care. The effects of oral sedation may linger after the appointment, so you'll need to limit and monitor any activities.

Intravenous or IV sedation provides increased levels of sedation but has additional risks, so we do not perform it in our offices. If your child has severe anxiety that requires more drastic intervention, we can do their dental treatment in a hospital setting under general anesthesia.

An anesthesiologist will be in charge of the sedation and monitoring, while the pediatric dentist will perform the treatment.

There are increased associated costs when treatment must occur in the hospital, but sometimes it is the only option for more severe cases. Our team will always do our best to help keep treatment within your budget.
